the Lotus

The lotus hotel is a really weird place in the book. the hotel is not only that but its also a casino and amusement park. the place is so cool you'd never want to leave. that's where it gets you the hotel is magic and if you step inside you'll never be able to leave. will our heroes make it out alive.

Luke

This is Luke the son of Hermes. He is one of Percy's friends when he gets to camp half blood and helps him on his quest. Luke gives Percy a pair of flying shoes and tells him he only has to say one word to make them fly. Luke is a secretive kid and hates his dad for never being there for him when he needed him. What secrets does Luke hold and how will they affect Percy's quest read the book to find out.

Grover underwood

Grover is Percy's best friend in this book and he is also his protector. Grover was sent from camp half blood to find Percy and keep him safe from monsters and anyone who would hurt him. As he goes though the book with Percy he helps out a lot by talking to animals and knowing when a powerful monster is near by and helps Percy fight them.

Annabeth chase

Annabeth is the daughter of Athena and as the power of wisdom. Annabeth is the voice of reason on Percy's team. She is the one who makes all the plans and helps out along the way as they look for the bolt. Annabeth is a down to earth girl that always over thinks everything but is always helpful. Annabeth is a knife fighter and uses a bronze knife that she got from the bad guy Luke when they were younger. as Annabeth and Percy go thought the quest they start to become really good friends. lets see what happens to them as the books goes on.

Percy Jackson

Percy Jackson is the name of our hero in this book.He is a demigod half god half human. he has dyslexia and ADHD. all demigods have those the ADHD is there natural battle reflexes, and the  dyslexia is their brain being hard wired to read ancient Greek. well Percy doesn't know  he is a demigod yet he finds out hes one when he is at the NYC museum and is attacked by his teacher miss dods, who is a harpy. As he is being attacked she kept yelling where is the lightning bolt, give it to me or dye. He keeps telling her he doesn't have it but she keeps attacking and them his other teacher comes rolling in on his wheel chair. his name was Mr. broner throws a pen at Percy and tells him to uncap it and when he does a 3 foot long sword of bronze came out. He slashes it though the harpy and she busts into a cloud of gold dust. He looks back at Mr. broner and he was gone. though out the book Percy is accused of stealing Zeus's thunder bolt and has to go all over the country to find it. so him and his friends Annabeth and Grover have to fight their way to find the bolt and return it to Zeus before the summer solstice.

summary

the book i'm going to talk to you about today is Percy Jackson and the lightning thief, the first book in a five book series. It is a book that gets you hooked from the start with monsters, fights, and pretty girls in battle armor.  the story is about a boy named Percy Jackson and he has ADHD and dyslexia. the story starts out on a field trip to a museum in new York where Percy and his best friend Grover live. his friend Grover has to take Percy to a camp called camp half-blood a place where demigods are safe from monsters. As the story continues Percy finds out he his a demigod half god half human and has to go on a quest to find Zeus's lightning bolt that everyone thinks Percy stole. so thought out the book Percy and his friends Grover and Annabeth must go to the under world to get Percy's mom that Hades stole so that Percy would trade the bolt for his mom. before he left for his quest another friend gave him a backpack and a  pair of winged shoes but unknowing to Percy the friend that gave it to him is the one who stole the bolt. so if you want to find out what happens to Percy and his friends read Percy Jackson and the lightning thief. see you at camp half blood.
